My Teaching Philosophy
I believe education is about cultivating nurturing relationships for learning. My mission as an educator will be to provide my students with the tools for lifelong learning. I believe in incorporating hands on learning as often as possible. I will strive to appease my student’s natural inquisition for learning by encouraging them to reach their full potential. I will encourage creativity within my students because children deserve to learn the way that is conducive to their learning style. Through my experiences, I know that not one child learns the same way. It is my responsibility to adjust the learning environment by gathered data from my students work to differentiate instruction appropriately. I will differentiate instruction in my classroom to meet the needs of all of my learners. During my clinical studies, I used surveys as a technique to learn about my students. This allowed me to incorporate their interests into the learning process. Through my experience I have learned that learning requires practice and patience. My students can expect me to show them these qualities as they learn.
Educators take on many roles; I will ensure students have a prodigious level of comfort to allow our teacher-student relationship to thrive. I will strive to provide a safe, caring and supportive learning environment for students of all backgrounds. Students well-being will be my number one priority. I want to create an environment where my students are able to express their concerns about their learning. I want my students to have equity in their education.
My passion for teaching is unwavering. I am prepared for the constant changes and challenges in my career because I know that dynamic teaching is important.
